| With the landmark invention and patent of the MT-3 Portable Isolation Enclosure in 1988, Southern Concepts, Inc. was created. This system has been used to safely abate over 3,000,000 square feet of asbestos containing materials that were located in occupied buildings.
A second unit was developed in 1996 to contain walls and floors.
Emphasis has been directed towards incorporating this exciting technology in the field of Indoor Air Quality. Facilities are using the P.I.E. to control particulate and microbes while performing operations and maintenance tasks.
Today, Southern Insulation uses the MT-3 Portable Isolation Enclosure to remove hazardous asbestos tile, pull cables, and perform many different Operations and Maintenance tasks.
